Pueblito Paisa
The Cerro Nutibara mountain formation is a small town located in the Colombian from Medellin , in the geographic center of the Aburrá Valley , on the west bank of the Medellín River , in the middle of the urban area, and is one of the few ecosystems that remain in town.
Initially, at the time of the Spanish conquistadors, called Morro de Marcela de la Parra and then the Cadavides Morro ; finally renamed Cerro Nutibara, which continues today.
With its 33 has extension and eighty feet above the level of the city, one provides an important overview of the entire city.
It is bounded on the north by the street and Avenue 33 32D, on the west by the race 65, on the south by 30th Street and on the east by the bridge between Railroad Avenue and Avenida Guayabal.
At its summit is the Pueblito Paisa , an allegory to the municipalities of the Region Paisa built in 1977 . There is also the Open Air Theatre "Carlos Vieco" with a capacity of 3,800 spectators, one erected in tribute to composer Carlos Ortiz Vieco . And finally, there is also the Sculpture Park, established in 1983 , one which is a permanent display of sculptures made of eleven national and international artists and installed in the natural environment of the hill , and where visitors can appreciate this Art on a short tour of the slopes.
