The Vice President condemns killing of three policemen in the department of La Guajira
Riohacha, Guajira, February 1, 2013
"It is possible that illegal armed groups continue attacking desire of people to live in peace and tranquility," said Vice President died today after learning that, ambushed, 3 policemen patrol Fiscal and Customs Police Maicao patrolling in the department of La Guajira.
In the follow-up meeting to the process of construction of public policies on human rights and international humanitarian law, in Riohacha, Guajira, Vice President condemned the terrorist act which, initially, is attributed to the FARC. It also supported the work of the police force that has been promoting actions to reduce the violence of illegal armed groups, whether they be guerrillas or drug gangs.
The Vice President stressed and invited the FARC to cease violence against civilians and against our military and police, as well as to release and without any strings attached to all people, including two policemen kidnapped in the Pradera, Valle del Cauca.
